Netflix has announced that 3 Body Problem will end after two seasons.
The hit series is based on the novel by Chinese author Liu Cixin and is the first English language adaptation of the book.
It stars Jovan Adepo, John Bradley, Rosalind Chao and Liam Cunningham, who are contacted by an alien at a secret military base.
Now showrunners have explained that they have been able to tell the story right through in the second season.
In a statement, they said : 'We're thrilled that we get to tell this story through to its epic conclusion.'

The producers added they always hoped they would be able to bring the story to a conclusion on screen and are looking forward to audiences coming along for the ride.
They shared: 'Ever since we read the last page of Cixin Liu's magnificent trilogy, we hoped we'd be able to bring the audience to the end of the universe with us. Here we go!'
The release date and the exact number of episodes to feature in the new season will be announced in due course but filming has not even started yet.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, initial expectations were that the show would be greenlit for four seasons.
The series is an adaptation of the first in a trilogy, and creator D.B Weiss previously claimed that he would need 'at least three' seasons in order to tell the story effectively.
He told Collider: 'There are three books. The first season roughly follows the arc of the first book, and the second season would probably roughly follow the second book.
'The third book is massive. It's twice as long, I think, as the other two books, so maybe that's one season, maybe it's two.
'But I think we'd need at least three, maybe four seasons to tell the whole story. It's a beautiful ending.
'I think all three of us thought that the last page of Liu Cixin’s epic was maybe the best final image we'd encountered in a sci-fi saga like this.'

He added: 'It's incredibly moving and mind-blowing, and so we’re desperate to get to the end.
'That means, hopefully, if enough people watch it that Netflix will renew us and give us a couple more years.'
The show premiered in March 2024 and the first season consisted of eight hour long-episodes.
Since its launch, the series has scored 1.79 billion minutes of viewing.
The series follows a secret military base who makes contact with an alien and has to deal with the consequences
